  A Patchwork Quilt

  Today we gather our thoughts, words and minds
  … as one
  today we bring with us the peace of the Universe
  … as one
  we recognize the connection we share, the love we give,
  the space which gives us life…
  as one… we exists with each other
  
  A Patchwork Quilt weaves the threads of continuance… connectedness…
  of spirit, light and tranquility
  … herstory of ancestors and the spirit world that exists to some, not there for others, but is consistent and un-noticed by the untrained eye.
  a Patchwork Quilt carries the stories that was once left behind
  
  A Patchwork Quilt covers the stain that has left its story deep inside of me
  so no one can see…
  oh the pain that lives inside of me… it protects me
  … a constant reminder of my prison mind … the unseen markings of troubled and not so troubled times.
  … a void in my Soul seeks to share what is untold
  
  Today we gather together under the Patchwork Quilt
  a symbol of love, life, and strength
  that comfort and support our decision
  …to heal and live
  a decision that was made individually
  that came together as We
  we share this journey… a mapping some may say
  of the Past, the Future and yes of course Today
  
  Today I made the decision to Live
  It is now weaved in My Patchwork Quilt.
