In Luke 17:1 - 19 Jesus is teaching about forgiveness, faith, duty, and gratitude. How we respond to others matters. To please God we do not have the option to be unforgiving. He commands us "You shall forgive Him." If our faith would only increase to the size of a mustard seed - is the implication of Jesus' words in verses 5-6. Ours may be even smaller. Like the disciples we need to see our faith increase. Verses 11 - 19 shows us the value God places on our being thankful when we receive blessing from Him. We should never take for granted God's mercy and grace towards us, like it would seem the 9 lepers did, who did not return to thank Jesus for their healing. Forgiveness, Growth, Service, and Gratefulness are important in our lives as Christians. Let's not be bad examples to the next generations following us, nor to those not yet believing. We would always want to set the best example of a believer to others.
