For a seemingly hopeless battle, the solution to all of these problems is simple. The only weapon they have against us is keeping the knowledge of our true nature from Us

But it doesn’t stop there. Next time you go out to eat start asking at the restaurants what menu items have MSG. (Actually I Did This) and Many employees, even the managers, swore they didn’t use MSG. But when we asked for the ingredient list, which they grudgingly provided, sure enough MSG and Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein were everywhere. Burger King, McDonalds, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, every restaurant, even the sit down ones like TGIF, Chili’s, Applebees and Denny’s use MSG in abundance. Kentucky Fried Chicken seemed to be the WORST offender: MSG was in every chicken dish, salad dressing and gravy. No wonder I love to eat that coating on the skin, their secret spice was MSG! So why is MSG in so many of the foods we eat? Is it a preservative or a vitamin?
Not according to a book written by John Erb called “The Slow Poisoning of America. In the book he wrote, an expose of the food additive (www.spofamerica.com), he said that
The food producers and restaurants have been addicting us to their products for years, and now we are paying the price for it. Our children should not be cursed with obesity caused by an addictive food additive. But what can I do about it? I’m just one voice, what can I do to stop the poisoning of ourselves and our children, while guys like Bush are insuring financial protection for the industry that is poisoning us. If you are one of the few who can still believe that MSG is good for us, and you don’t believe what I’ve just told you see for yourself. Go to the National Library of Medicine, at

Thanks for the great article. I have been battling a Wikipedia site plagued with bad information about MSG stating just how good it is for everyone. I post and edit and am removed from the edit almost as soon as I post. We have a running battle going on. Major producers pay bloggers to keep the lie alive. My wife suffered for 17 years and the doctors could not figure it out because of all the miss labeling. We have finally eliminated all MSG and she is free of all symptoms. Synthetic MSG is reported to contain carcenogenic chemicals and the word out that it kills brain cells. I don't need cancer and I have all to few brain cells. Besides who wants to be chemically dupped into eating. Manipulation at its very best. We are doing what we can to fight the battle on the internet with a WEB site that links to other important sites and repeats the message this stuff is bad. I have seen it first hand in three people and heard stories from many others. If your child or any family member exhibits ADD, aggression, depression or paranoia turn to what they are eating MSG could be the culprit. We are also self-publishing a book late this summer with over 200 recipes we have compiled from our struggle to be normal which will allow people to avoid synthetic MSG and still enjoy good food and even junk food. Over the last few years, we have learned a lot. We cannot eat out at restaurants or at the home of friends; they join us at our home. We by no means do without, we have learned how make the most amazing things which often taste even better than the products in the store. Remember everything a manufacturer makes came from a kitchen at one time. It is estimated that over 70% of goods in the store and restaurants have MSG. Watch out for Carrageenan in most dairy products, it does have MSG. Keep the message going and get others involved. What can we do? More than you think. If you are old enough you remember the New Coke boycott of customers, it took a few months, but they dropped New Coke and brought back Old Coke. We may not be able to afford lobbyists, but these food producers cannot survive if we do not buy their products. Vote with your dollars and buy or make healthy MSG free food, it is easier than you think. And SPEAK UP. A 20 to 30% drop in sales is a big deal. Campbell's Soup and Progresso crumbled under the pressure and there are a lot of good companies that did not succumb to higher profits at the cost of customers health. If you get a chance drop by our WEB site and say hello http://healthylife.rmtrain.com. We need your help spreading the word. Thanks again for the great article. We hope our site will be a central point where you can find notes about good companies and recipes you will enjoy. The site is free and we welcome your insight and questions. If we all chip in MSG will be a think of the past. The internet is a very powerful tool that brings together an amazing mix of people across the nation standing up for what is right. Next time you get a chance look up High Fructose Corn Syrup, your liver cannot create energy from it so it goes directly to body fat! And there are food colorings that are band in Europe that manufactures still promote in the US, even while the remove the bad chemicals from the European version. Food and the poisons we are forced to eat! Join us at our WEB site it is not as depressing as you think. It is informative and we are adding more solutions every week. It is fun to take up the battle. It is a cause we can win. Don’t you want to see the little guy win, wait the little guy is you and I. Aah that is if we stay away from the MSG and High Fructose Corn Syrup.
