Hey Sis, I am listening to the archives here at work and am enjoying the program. WE ARE NOT OUR HAIR!!! I don't have locs anymore I cut them because they have become such a "fashion" statement. I went back to old school "natural", this was BEFORE the afro which was, again, a fashion statement, so once I became politicized, I became very aware of how my hair speaks to MY politics.
