Some good ideas for church membership: sharing spiritual journey, writing statement of faith, presenting before session, laying on of hands in worship. This is good stuff.

I think our real challenge is dealing with the contrasting views of what church should be. You can call us anything. If people come in with a consumer mentality, the label has some importance but when they open up the "product" and find a bland flavor, that is where we lose them. Balancing that with the crowd that finds a lot of the new flavors to be way too spicy is hard. Should we just be happy to have different flavors in different churches or seek a blended flavor that brings t
