Presenting for the World Union of Deists, Deputy Director Jayson X and his co-host Tim Wingate explore the concept that reason is good and faith is evil.

Deism is the philosophy that teaches only the following two things:  (1) One should base all of one's beliefs on reason, and (2) reason leads one to conclude that God (the being who purposefully created the universe) exists or at least probably exists. In short, reason is the basis of Deism.

In contrast, faith is one's ability to believe something although it is not proven to be true.  Reason involves the ability to perceive reality as honestly and completely as one can, and then make logical conclusions based on what one perceives.  Believing in leprechauns requires faith and believing in the moons around Jupiter requires reason, Jayson says.

Is it better to base one's beliefs on faith or reason?  Jayson and Tim will explain why Deists determine that reason is good and faith is evil.

In a spirit of lighthearted preaching, Jayson admonishes, “Go ye, therefore, and base all of your beliefs and actions on reason!”

Note:  The show is scheduled for 60 minutes, but 90 minutes are reserved in case extra time is needed.
