Call in to speak with the host
Sanctions imposed by a Georgia judge have pushed questions about Narconon, the drug rehab service linked to the Church of Scientology, back into the limelight.
Narconon’s website boasts, “Thousands of people have successfully completed Narconon drug rehabilitation programs and, unlike many other alcohol and drug treatment methods, the vast majority of graduates go on to live stable, ethical, productive, drug-free lives. Our success rate is second to none.”
Not everyone agrees with Narconon’s self assessment. We’ll be talking with some of those dissenters (see God Discussion for more on our guests and links to their websites).
David Edgar Love is known for his efforts to expose Narconon’s practices. A former patient and staff member with Narconon, David publishes NarcononCanada.com in an effort to help others.
Robert Robinson was a Scientologist from 1988-1995 and served in executive positions with the Church. Bob runs the “Ex-Scientologist” blog, offering insight for overcoming emotions associated with spiritual abuse. He also writes hard-hitting stories about court trials and complaints involving Scientology.
In the summer of 2007, Colin Henderson checked into Oklahoma’s Narconon Arrowhead program. His story appears at Stop-Narconon.org. Colin is a devout Christian who considers himself to be a “Watchman on the Wall.” His issue with Narconon is that it was not upfront about its affiliation with the Church of Scientology. He enrolled into the program thinking it was a secular organization but found that once inside, he was proselytized with Scientology teachings.
