Herb Silverman: A Candidate Without A Prayer.
Once mild-mannered math professor, Herb Silverman became an atheist activist after learning that the South Carolina Constitution prohibited atheists from holding public office. Herb’s new book is “Candidate Without a Prayer: An Autobiography of a Jewish Atheist in the Bible Belt.” Herb is founder and president of the Secular Coalition for America, and a board member of the American Humanist Association. The International Keystone Knights of the KKK in Union County, GA was denied its application to participate in the Adopt A Highway program. It is expected that the KKK will appeal the decision.
