Humanism is one of the most influential and yet most maligned philosophies of all time, writes Jen Hancock. Unfortunately, most people don’t know anything about it. To make matters worse, there are a lot of people who are already Humanists and just don’t know it yet because no one has ever taken the time to properly introduce them to the philosophy.

Hancock intends to change that with her new book, Jen Hancock's Handy Humanism Handbook -- A short and hopefully sweet introduction to the philosophy of Humanism.  Jen is generously offering a free download of her engaging book.

Her previous book, The Humanist Approach to Happiness, has been added to the curricula at the Royal Military College of Canada for their Staff Development course. Additionally, the Unitarian Universalists Association is adding the book to its curriculum for character development, decision-making and ethics for youth.

Jen is the former executive director for the Humanists of Florida Association. She is also the writer and producer of An Introduction to Humanism on DVD. She is the Tampa Humanist and Freethought Examiner for Examiner.com and writes a monthly freelance column about Humanism for the Bradenton Herald newspaper. Finally she writes the Happiness through Humanism blog and podcast.
