Godless Good News! with Secular Students and American Atheists

Jesse reports that the SSA is getting some great coverage in the media as the group expands in high schools throughout the nation. SSA now has 250 college and high school affiliates. Cathy Grossman at USA Today noted that with 29% of America's 18 to 29 year olds not affiliated with religion, secular students would like the same opportunities to have clubs on campus as the faithful. She outlines a few of the challenges SSA members have faced in creating their groups and we'll talk about some of those challenges and victories with Jesse.

For days now, Joe has been carrying on a vigil at the Texas State Legislature, picketing the legislature and passersby to consider taxing churches to save the schools. Texas is in a budget crisis that threatens to slash education funding and lay off teachers.

The Atheists Helping the Homeless program that Joe helped to launch is doing quite well, and we'll get an update on their latest music concert and giveaway.

And finally, Joe's a published author now ... so we'll see what we can find out about his book!
