This May is the 1 year anniversary of 1in133.org's massive undertaking to build the World's Tallest Gluten-Free Cake. Designed to draw attention to the FDA's failure to set a federal standard for "Gluten-Free" in food labels, the team's efforts paid off at their Gluten Free Summit held in Washington DC. The gluten and dairy-free cake they built was over 11 feet tall, weighed over one ton and got the FDA's attention! They made the cover of the Washington Post, were in USA Today twice, as well as the Huffington Post, Forbes, and many other media outlets. The FDA promised proposed regulations within 3 months and it delivered!
The team has reunited for this special show to discuss how the cake was made and the full back story of how 1in133 came to be.
