The friends behind this authentic Italian pizza company are Trevor Chambers and chef Corbett Monica. They join Jules this week to talk about the whys & hows of creating a gluten-free frozen pizza line, and about the unique qualities that make their pizzas something special.
Chef Monica's Raleigh, NC restaurant, Bella Monica Cucina & Vino, launched a gluten-free menu in 2009 featuring gluten-free bread, pizzas, chicken parmesan and stuffed shells. That same year, Bella Monica FlatBread Company launched a line of gluten-free frozen pizzas and today, Bella Monica pizzas is sold in over 1000 stores across the country like Kroger, Harris Teeter and Earth Fare.
