Veteran speaker, trainer, and coach, Karen Hinds debuts her new organizational initiative, The Power of Distinction, and outlines the course of action every emerging leader must take in order to succeed in today’s marketplace.  The author of four books, including her newest, A Young Adult’s Guide To The Global Workplace, Karen details the essential skills needed for successful career building in a global economy.


The company partners with organizations to develop and retain global emerging talent who are responsible, respectful, and results oriented.

These organizations include Frito-Lay, Turner Construction, Harvard Business School Executive Education Program, University of Connecticut, and the Northwest Regional Investment Board have used her services.


She writes a weekly business column for an international newspaper and appears as a guest on radio and television programs. Karen has been quoted in Black Enterprise Magazine and featured in The Boston Globe. She was nominated for the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year by the Connecticut Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners and won the Micro to Millions business award in 2008.

 

Karen is also the author of Get Along, Get Ahead: 101 Courtesies for the New Workplace; Networking for a Better Position & More Profit; A Teenager’s Guide to the Workplace; and A Young Adult’s Guide to the Global Workplace.

 

She is from the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and is a graduate of the Boston Public Schools and Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. Karen lives in Connecticut with her husband and son.
