Charles SteelePhotobucketAward winning Syndicated Journalist George Curry and Civil Rights Leader and Former SCLC President Charles Steele take us through the complex political minefield of African politics. Within three short months three African countries have captured the headlines of newspapers across the world because of leadership struggles, violence, and death. In November the Ivory Coast election produced a new president and the sitting president who still won't leave office. In December Twitter and Facebook supported efforts of an angry populace who ousted their president who fled the country. And January ushered in unrest in Egypt, to the point where an unhappy country caused a president to not seek re-election after 30 years in office. The leadership of all three countries are still in crisis. The defeated President of Ivory Coast won't leave office. Tunisia faces an uncertain future with its transitional government, and peaceful protests during Egypt's Million Man March this week led to deadly violence and an on camera revolution. Only time, diplomatic dialogue and prayer will provide the answers to these troubling stalemates. Our guests today will explore the implications of each country's dilemma. ======== Go to www.english.aljazeera.net for comprehensive Middle East - African coverage of these events.
