I am officially back on the wagon! The FlyLady's Wagon, that is! I've been practicing the habit for July... if you don't know what it is, visit www.flylady.net and find out! It will change your life!I used to spend hours hovering over a grimy shower or scrubbing a nasty, moldy toilet, or scouring toothpaste gunk out of a sink - no more! I QUIT! Well, I didn't quit, I just started doing it a little bit every day. I do what FlyLady suggested... I scrub the shower down while I'm in it with a mesh ball I had lying around and some of my body soap (because soap is soap). When I get out, I leave the fan on & the curtain open to let the shower dry. After getting my face & hair fixed, I put all my stuff away & wipe down the counter top with a paper towel & some Windex. I take that paper towel with me to the shower - this is my extra step - and dry the chrome on the shower faucet so it won't be grodie with scum. Then I move to the toilet, use a toilet bowl brush & some old shampoo to scrub the potty; wipe down the back, lid, seat, & rim with the paper towel & I'm done!!! My bathroom looks so nice that I smile! So I immediately pick up the dirty clothes - who wants dirty clothes in a beautifully clean bathroom? I take the clothes into the closet where I have a brown hamper and a white hamper - the whites go in the white and everything colored goes in the brown. No more sorting laundry!!! This is a life saver for me! I would put off doing laundry all the time because it wasn't sorted yet! And all of this started with a swish & a swipe!Now... I challenge you to do it for just one week and see if it doesn't make you smile! Let me know how you did!
