Sometimes it’s tough to be the kind of friend you’d like to have – especially when your friend has cancer. That goes beyond tough – that’s overwhelmingly painful to see and to know the right thing to do for them. That’s why we need girlfriend advice for how to be a friend to a friend with cancer.

MAILET LOPEZ has been there. She’s been through cancer and has seen the reaction that friends had to this terrible disease. She’s an amazing survivor and founder of ‘I Had Cancer‘ – a social support network for cancer fighters, survivors and supporters.

JOIN US as we talk about her journey and how we can be better friends to friends with cancer.

Mailet Lopez is a cancer survivor who founded IHadCancer.com — a social support network for cancer fighters, survivors and supporters focused on creating connections that help people deal with cancer peer to peer. A Cuban exile and digital pioneer, Mailet is also co-founder of the award winning digital agency Squeaky Wheel Media which was formed in 2001 and is both an Ad Age Small Agency of the year recipient and INC 5000 fastest growing company.
