The Power of the Bench ~ Team Sports are a fun thing for most kids however not all kids are on the field, court or pitch at their own will. Parents want their kids in team sports to develop certain skills, etc. 

What happens when the skill just isn't there and equal playing time is part of the equation. What message are we sending to competitors who aren't allowed to compete and what message are we sending to competitors who don't wish to compete?

Where does the bench fit in? Should kids with bad attitudes and poor skills keep it warm whilst the more accomplished and desiring players compete to the best of their ability?
