This segment is dedicated to the memory of Sylvester James, better known as Sylvester. He was the first Out LGBT man to break the barriors in the music industry. He had numerous hits in the late 1970s including, but not limited to, "Lovin' Is Really My Game" , "Dance", "You Are My Friend", And "You Make Me Feel Mighty Real", The true Queen of Disco. Before there was Rupaul, there was Sylvester. Sylvester was an activist who unfortunately died of AIDS related complications in December 1988, but fought hard to the end and left us dancing.

Joining us will be the creator and the star of the play, "Mighty Real The Fabulous Sylvester Musical"  Anthony Wayne and Kendrell Brown. Partners in life and in business this couple is amazing and talented both together and separately.

Also joining us will be Tona Brown, the first Transwoman to perform for the President of the US, and who will share with us her journey to Carnegie Hall! This is history in the making! Learn it! Right here in the basement with JaVonne, Nathan, and Meka Rae!
