The late 19th century saw a rising culture of self-medication and ready-to-use drugs for infants, many of which were opiates. In Australia, for instance, proprietary medicines became a common feature in the home and were administered to children almost as soon as they became restless or "cross" in the night. Fast forward to today and not much has changed based on research and parents admissions. Throw in behavior disorders such as ADHD and the drugs on the market used to manage the symptoms, and the seemingly wholesale prescribing of them and one has to ponder. In more cases than a few, have parents resorted to disciplining their children and controlling undesirable behavior with drugs??? On this episode, Geo and Nakisha look deep into the fact that , yes, some parents may have resorted to drugs as a parenting tool
