Delusions of Grandeur

2010 America has an African American President. There are sprinkling of minorities in positions of power, minorities can choose the schools they attend and neighborhoods they live in. Amendments to the constitution over the decades have aimed to address inequalities and biasness. Is the current state of Black America now vs. The Jim Crow Era simply Delusions of Grandeur masking very little real progress and change? How far have Americans collectively really progressed as a people since the pre civil rights era?
