The phrase implies taking a left turn from the right of free speech. Saying what you are supposed to say as opposed to saying what you feel. One should act in a preconceived manner not necessarily conducive to their preferable state of being. Political Correct is phrase what began as a buzzword or sorts in political arenas in the early 80s has manifest itself into a speech etiquette and policy control mechanism of sorts over the past decade. To be Political Correct in speech is to censor ones statements or policies suitable for the acceptance of those they are targeted at. Has the acceptance of Political Correctness as an etiquette speech governor been responsible for some of America's biggest issues from receiving the press and spotlight they receive. On another level has political correctness been responsible for stagnated careers, broken marriages, misconceptions of individuals real convictions? The question that arises from the womb of political correctness is If one can't truly take a position on their convictions how are they to get them recognized? What say you? Is Political Correctness an incarcerating oppressive attitude that has been unwittingly adopted at the expense of freedom of speech?
