Yesterday, I woke up to the most awful abdominal and intestinal pains imaginable. I felt dizzy, light-headed and quite nauseous. My body was barely strong enough to cooperate, so I just barely made it to the bathroom where, with great agony, I repeatedly spilled the contents of my stomach into the sink. Between the heaving and silent prayers, I remembered that the crab cakes I’d eaten the night before didn’t quite taste right. Well, that oversight rendered me bedridden for an entire day with a high fever, nausea, painful cramps, body aches, dehydration, and a headache like you wouldn’t believe.
