Commonwealth of Virginia - Licensing of Public Adjusters

Effective January 1, 2013 The Commonwealth of Virginia will license public adjusters making the State of Virginia the 45th state in the Union to enact legislation that establishes standards of licensing of Public Adjusters int he Commonwealth of Virginia.

During the 2012 Legislative Session we also saw the enactment of a new law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that Law Act 21-2012 which can be viewed on our website www.aapia.org 

The Virginia Licensing Law currently appears in Article 4.1 of Chapter 18 (38.2 - 1845.1 38.2-1845.23) of Title 38.2 of the Code of Virginia.
