Today I'm profiling Pati Jinich, whose TV show "Pati's Mexican Table" is the most charming TV food show I've seen in a long time. Plus she has an extraordinary background. Her grandparents were Jews who fled Europe during World War Two and found a permanent home in Mexico. Their granddaughter Pati originally wanted to be an academic in Mexican history, wrote her thesis on it, got a masters degree, and wound up at a think tank before she got into TV stardom cooking Mexican food.
