19 - 8-Bit Game Boy Rock! Matt Payne of the Glowing Stars!

"You never knew a Game Boy could pump out that much bass, right?"

Said Matt to Dan as they set up for their live show with Zack Bateman in Oakland. Dan replied ...

"Dude ... that is bad ass."

It wasn't just a background track, either. These little "toys" are played live on stage as they rock out with real drums and guitar. And for just a two-player band, the Glowing Stars were fuggin' impressive! 

And since Matt somehow hacked the Game Boys to be a band instrument, it surely gives him some geek-cred to bring to our show. We're hella jazzed to learn all about that process and whatever else he likes to geek about!

He also plays the banjo and works with other bands under the name "Matthew Joseph Payne". So we're gonna hear all about that on the show as well!
