On this channel, we talk about everything from small steps to great leaps. It's real stories, from real people, for real people. We've all heard of empowering rags to riches stories. They inspire us. We dig deeper and reach higher because of them. But, every day there are people who win achievements by battling every day circumstances. Consider these scenarios: What inspires a person to try for that job they really want. You know, the one job everyone says this person can't have. What inspires a person to go forward in live despite chronic illness or injury? Why do you push toward a goal when people around you say to quit? These are the things we talk about on overcoming obstacles. We're all about encouragement on this channel. The idea is to live bodaciously. To reach out, grab life and never let go. Whatever keeps you from doing that, is what we want to talk about. Come join us.  01:40:00GayleCrabtreenoovercoming obstacles, live bodaciouslyWhat does it mean to overcome obstacles? Questions and comments were taken from participants in a chat during the livestream. The video was done by request from a subscriber who wanted information about an Ottobock leg brace from a patient. I have had the Ottobock Walk On leg brace since the spring of 2015. My right leg was affected by foot drop on New Year's Eve night of 2012 (2013 New Year's Day). I spent the next five months trying to relearn how to form a proper step. I wear the AFO because of residual weakness in my right foot, leg and ankle. Living with foot drop and wearing a leg brace isn't easy, but it makes my life more manageable.  Do you have any questions or comments about living with drop foot or wearing a leg brace (AFO)? Granny Monster got wind of it and quickly put her creativity behind the idea. The #CreateNotHate movement encourages people to spend time creating, not hating. It's a grassroots movement of hope against a sea of difficult headlines and hate filled rhetoric that is consuming society. Why not put the energy into creating something that is beautiful (to you if no one else). This podcast is a recorded Google Hangout with some very important people who got it all started. You'll want to learn more about this effort! For more information steer your browser to the PetMonster YouTube channel or, see MonsterChic or Granny Monster there.  But listen to the podcast first. :) 00:57:00GayleCrabtreenoCreateNotHate,#CNH,Pet Monster,Granny Monster,Monster ChicThe #CreateNotHate movement started on YouTube and is touching lives across the internetBed bugs, Service Dogs and Travelhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/gaylecrabtree/2018/02/23/bed-bugs-service-dogs-and-travelSpiritualityhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/gaylecrabtree/2018/02/23/bed-bugs-service-dogs-and-travel/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/gaylecrabtree/2018/02/23/bed-bugs-service-dogs-and-travelFri, 23 Feb 2018 16:00:00 GMTBed bugs, Service Dogs and TravelIt's all about living life head-on. This podcast covers how to search for bed bugs in a hotel and travel with a service dog. It was recorded live in a hotel and was originally broadcast via my YouTube channel. In the opening, I talked about how to look for bed bugs in a hotel. We talked about the need to have a copy of the ADA law on service animals with you, what to bring on your road trip  and discussed some of the challenges of vacationing with a service animal. Questions were accepted during the live chat or could be submitted in advance. Not all are called out on the livestream as many questions were built into the conversation. Let me know if you have questions or would like to see something covered. You'll notice that I'm a little short winded in the video. That's because my asthma is making itself known. This is one of the reasons why I have a service dog. It's also one obstacle that I won't let slow me down. What's my motto? A life lived bodaciously is a life worth claiming!  Thanks for listening! I'll see you out, about, and online! :) 00:18:00GayleCrabtreenolive bodaciously, travel, service dogs, traveling with service dogs, how to find bed bugs in a hotelAvoiding bed bugs and traveling with a service dog are two topics in this podcast.
