This is my story about life with foot drop and an Ottobock AFO leg brace. Questions and comments were taken from participants in a chat during the livestream. The video was done by request from a subscriber who wanted information about an Ottobock leg brace from a patient. I have had the Ottobock Walk On leg brace since the spring of 2015. My right leg was affected by foot drop on New Year's Eve night of 2012 (2013 New Year's Day). I spent the next five months trying to relearn how to form a proper step. I wear the AFO because of residual weakness in my right foot, leg and ankle. Living with foot drop and wearing a leg brace isn't easy, but it makes my life more manageable.
