Tonight we are Pro-Fun/Anti-Evil with special guests: The Black 13

Formed in early January of 2010, this group began to embark on a path that was new for each of them. In order to succeed and to become better at what it is they do, they felt a need to create music that many would consider listing to. The original direction of this group has been molded into what it is today. Each member of this band has come from various backgrounds in music and is familiar with performing different genres. The original style was a heavy and dark melodic sound, yet, an all too familiar sound as well; however, familiarity was not something these guys were looking for. They knew that something different was needed to go anywhere in the industry and not only that, but to challenge themselves with something new on a professional level was bringing smiles to their faces. The Band originally began with a couple different members, and over time as their genre changed, so did some of them. They needed to have the right combination in order to succeed with this type of sound, and within these five current musicians, the sound came alive all on its own. Captivating a modern hard rock sound with a dark & somewhat heavy twist mixed with a wide vocal range, this particular group has earned their own sound. “We practiced from the time we met for a solid year, learning to work together, and finding our sound. A lot of bands will throw a few songs together, find a stage that will take them and quickly ruin their name. That was not our objective from the start. We wanted to learn each other’s musical habits and get comfortable with the style first. It’s important so you can learn what direction you’re going in and who is with you.
