The Eric Brendan Band will be joining us on the show tonight:

The Eric Brendan Band is a live, loud and raw experience fronted by Houston native Eric Brendan. Since its inception in 2005, the Eric Brendan Band has undergone a sonic metamorphosis that has evolved into the high energy live show and thought-provoking lyrics that their fans have come to expect. In Eric's words, “It took us a while to find our identity, but once we did…we never looked back”. On the heels of a successful debut in the Texas music scene, the band released its first CD titled “Windows Down” in October 2005. The record received positive reviews and praise in part, due to the collaborative talents of fellow singer/songwriter Dub Miller and Randy Rogers Band fiddle player Brady Black. The band rode the wave of momentum and has performed in numerous acclaimed country music venues throughout Texas including the legendary Gruene Hall.

Along the way, the band has garnered friends and a fanbase that far exceed the borders of Texas. In January 2008, the band released its second CD titled “July Rain”. July Rain evidences Eric’s transformation from his smoky barstool acoustic show beginnings to a formidable singer/songwriter who is comfortable in his own skin. Unlike most sophomore records which often times are criticized as half-hearted shells of their predecessors, July Rain marks a vast improvement in the band’s songwriting, musicianship, and overall product. As to what the future holds, Eric replies, ”We’re just enjoying the ride. If we catch lightning in a bottle...great, but we’re not in this for money, fame or fortune. We do what we love…play our music to folks who appreciate and enjoy us doing what we do. We'll ride her 'til she bucks us. Hopefully people will dig our stuff and the ride will last a while.
