My name is Frank Garrett, Jr., and I am the host of the "Garrett Report" on BlogTalk Radio. My show is about progressive politics during the tenure of President Barack Obama. I think the change offered by the President represents a much needed shift in the paradigm. This is a new century and new ideas are needed.     While the president and democrats move closer to a Health Care Reform package with a public option, the GOP keeps losing ground with its constituency. Using his ability to remain calm while others around him are losing their heads, the president has gained momentum many thought beyond him just a couple of weeks ago. My next show will bring you up to speed on where things are, and where they are going to be once HCR gets out of the senate. I will also remind my listeners of the increasing danger our chief executive faces daily because of the irresponsible rhetoric and hate speech hurled his way.     Sibel Edmonds was gagged by the FBI right after 9/11 because of something she heard on a wiretap that had dirty politicians written all over it. Well the gag is off and she is talking. What she has to say is a glimpse of the kind of treachery some of our elected officials do on our dime that moves me to say "they ought to be brought up on charges and sent to jail."     There is a stench emanating in America that reaches across the nation, and touches all of us. The daily lambasting of our president by a relentless cadre of right-wing talk show hosts has reached a crescendo of redundancy that nauseates. I don't mind the slander because it reveals how un-American and vile the haters are; but I do mind the lack of response from democrats and independents supposedly supportive of President Obama. Where is our outrage at the outrageous? My next show will continue our discussion about the matter, and what we need to do to help our cause. Peace - FrankG

    I understand why the White House cannot address the comments of former President Jimmy Carter - race is the third rail of American politics these days. We are a nation of cowards when it comes to dealing with the lingering stench of racism in the so called land of the free. Those of us old enough to remember the back of the bus, and water fountains marked colored and white know what time it is. My next show will continue to probe the underbelly of republican efforts to stoke the racial fears of whites in America. The hate speech is escalating to the level of endangering the life of the President and his family. Hope you can roll with me and help keep hope alive. Peace-FrankG

    Now comes President Jimmy Carter of Georgia saying without stuttering, the movement against President Barack Obama is energized by racism against Blacks. It will be interesting to see and hear hate speech talking heads spin this off as untrue. They will continue to lie and say it is about his policies, and then resume their rhetoric about his place of birth, religion, and associations. You will not hear them talk about policy but rather polarization of the races based on this countries history of slavery, Jim Crow, and now institutionalized racism. My next show will also revisit the feelings by some Blacks that Tyler Perry is dissing us with his Maddea character. I disagree but will listen to those who feel he is stereotyping us in a negative way. Hope you join me to get your two cents worth in - The Garrett Report is jumping! Peace - FrankG
