We continue to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Title IX, a law which has had a dynamic impact on the number of opportunities women & girls have had to participate in sports. Has the legislation also had a profound impact in sports boardrooms? We'll be joined this week on GCL SportsBiz Brief by Sports Illustrated Associate Editor Elizabeth Newman who recently shared her list of the "Top Ten Most Influential Women in Sports" during SI's Power Week Package! Find out where the GCL Crew stands on this list (we heard we're #999 and moving up quickly)!

In a week where Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg launched her social campaign encouraging women to "Lean In" and take a more active role in their professional & personal lives, Sports Illustrated released it's list of the 50 Most Powerful People in Sports. That list was headlined by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

It was quite an impressive list, BUT a woman didn't crack the list until #41.  Alison Lewis & Sharon Byers from Coca-Cola (#41) and Cindy Davis from Nike Golf (#46) are the only female representatives in the Top 50 Power Players in sports.

Tune in Tuesday at Noon ET for A New View from the Sideline!
