Fifth Column Games isn't your typical indie studio. Consisting of roughly 14 talented employees and founded only in 2011, the studio has developed social games for some of television's most successful IPs, such as Pawn Stars, Top Shot, and most recently, Duck Dynasty. They even developed a game alongisde 2K Games entitled NBA2k MyLIFE late last year. It's undoubtedly been a short yet wild and successful ride for the gang over at Fifth Column Games, yet they are gearing up to make their biggest project to date, War of Omens, a reality via Kickstarter.
The game is certainly a unique CCG (collectible card game), and during the course of my interview with Andy and Gabe, they explain to me exactly what makes the game so unique. We also discuss their early history, the beauty and empowerment of limiting player choice, and what's next for consoles.
Gabe also shares a hilarious tale from his days of DMing pen-and-paper campaigns. It's an interview you definitely don't want to miss!
