Philip Sharp has served for 20 years in the US Army Infantry during which he graduated from Ranger School, completed 22 parachute jumps, and served as a Drill Sergeant. He has worked in a variety of locations to include South Korea and the jungles of Panama. He deployed to Iraq three separate times from 2003 until 2010. He has published articles and war game simulations in Strategy & Tactics magazine and currently is a contributing columnist for Modern War magazine. Gameday For Heroes is a not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 organization that sends wounded, active and veteran military to college sporting events from monetary donations and donated tickets. This organization was founded in 2009 as a community service project for the Columbus-Phenix City Auburn Club. After an overwhelming response the first year, Mike and Jana Tarleton wanted to take the program to a national level. In 2011, Gameday For Heroes provided over 1700 tickets to 26 diffferent colleges with the majority being for college football games.
