Schadenfreude ..the Dark Side of Human Nature

Many terms cannot be conveyed in English and the concept of Schadenfreude, now, if not a household word in English, is widely used in the English speaking world. 

However the CONCEPT of Schadenfreude is misunderstood by all but those who have been raised in Germany,  who do know precisely what this term means. 

English speaking people who are are not familiar with German culture who have been told that Schadenfreude simply means deriving pleasure from the misfortunes of others are mistaken.

The concept of Schadenfreude is much more focused and precise than this. NOT that Germans or those familiar with German culture who may or may not speak German but who have lived in Germany or in some German community will know what the REAL meaning of this word is.

NOT that the notion or pleasure of Schadenfreude is only something that German's feel. NO NO NO...any one from any culture living anywhere no matter what language they speak it is possible and does enjoy what I shall clue you all into what Schadenfreude is all about.
