Welcome to Real Rational Radio on Blog Talk Radio

Welcome to the arena of Real Rational Radio!!!!
The purpose of launching this show is to build a warm and welcoming place for those of us out there who greatly enjoy discussions focusing on politics, public policy, and economics but from a "ground up" perspective.  While future quests and all listeners may have a position clearly grounded on one end of an issue, this show will not be the place to promote that position over all other positions.  There are other and equally interesting shows available to all for such purposes.

They say that the road to the fall of Rome was laid with the best intentions.  Do you think this is true with many of the laws, policies, and even statements produced by our political and social leaders?

What are your feelings about the overall ability of the general U.S. populous' ability to access news and determine fact from fiction on national and international issues?  Is there too much spin?  Do politicians have the freedom to change their position on an issue over time or are they married to their initial position despite a change in the circumstances?

Is the economy in the tank?  Why?  Is the down turn due to the gradual weakening of the U.S. economic backbone - manufacturing - thanks to trade deals and the WTO?  Where and how do education, development and trade related policies weigh into the equation?

If you are like me and enjoy discussing these issues and especially enjoy looking at them from both the "theoretical" and "real-world" perspective, I invite you to listen in, text or call with comments and, if you really have something to get off you chest, tell me what is on your mind so we can see what happens when the rubber hits the road.
