When Philip left Samaria, after preaching God's Kingdom and Jesus as the King, he headed back toward Jerusalem. Along the way his plans changed.

Being directed to do so by the Spirit, Philip ran up to a chariot and engaged the rider in conversation. The rider was a high official from Ethiopia, the treasurer for Queen Candace. He was also a eunuch.

Reading Isaiah while he travelled, he came across a prophecy that confused him. Hearing Philip's timely offer, he invited him to ride along. They discussed Isaiah together. They discussed Jesus, too.

The irony is this: Their discussion was from Isa. 53, but the fulfillment of Isa. 56 came about as a result of their discussion! We'll look into this intrigue.
