I remember when Jessica started out in the music business, belting out Contemporary-Christian music. During her interviews during that period, she named people like Rebecca St. James, Amy Grant, and Selah (all of whom are well-known within the Contemporary-Christian music scene) as her musical influences and as people she grew up listening to, and she aspired to sing like them. Her career flopped.
