    Cleversafe is led by Chris Gladwin, who has created and managed a series of successful new technology companies. As the founding Chairman, President and CEO of MusicNow (initially known as FullAudio), Chris built the company to 100,000 customers before its acquisition by Circuit City. MusicNow, whose venture financing was led by New Enterprise Associates, provided digital music services that were marketed by distribution partners including Best Buy, Clear Channel, Microsoft, SBC, Charter Communications and Earthlink. Prior to MusicNow, Chris invented the wireless thin client and then was the founding Chairman, President and CEO of Cruise Technologies, which became the dominant supplier of wireless thin client technology. Cruise Technologies, whose venture financing was led by Battery Ventures, provided wireless thin clients that were marketed by distribution partners that included Motorola, IBM, Wyse, Telos and Zenith Data Systems. Chris is an inventor on 40 issued and pending patents related to Dispersed Storage™, wireless remote interface and Internet service technology. Chris’s work has been recognized by 32 industry awards for the products, services and companies he has created. Chris holds an Engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

    Rich Buchanan brings more than 25 years of consumer and OEM executive level marketing and sales experience to the management team at ooma, a privately held start-up and creator of the ooma Hub and Scout. At ooma, Buchanan leads the sales and marketing team. Most recently Rich was part of the executive management team at Sling Media. He joined Sling Media in 2005, prior to the introduction of the Slingbox and was responsible for building the Slingbox brand, which included brand advertising, web and viral strategies, public relations, tradeshows and events. He was also responsible for the Slingbox customer experience, packaging, channel marketing, and efforts to build awareness in support of a global retail sales channel. With previous experience at SuperMac Technologies, Radius, Creative Labs, Rendition, and Raycer Graphics, he has deep retail consumer electronics and OEM experience. While at Creative Labs, Rich was responsible for product marketing and for introducing the sound card and CD-ROM player to the consumer electronics world, helping to take Creative Labs to $1.5B in annual sales. He was promoted internally at Creative to GM of the OEM Business Unit, an International Creative Technology Ltd. division responsible for $400M in annual sales. Rich is an advisor for several early stage start-ups in Silicon Valley. He has given technical and marketing presentations at COMDEX, CES, CeBit, MacWorld, and several international standards committee meetings. Products under his direction have won hundreds of technical and editorial awards as well as multiple marketing awards for creative advertising and web development. He studied Cellular Physiology at the University of Illinois and completed two years of PhD study in Physiology prior to joining Beecham Laboratories where he began his sales and marketing career.
