    Steve Epner is the founder of the Independent Computer Consultants Association (ICCA). Historically, Steve’s technical background started by writing his first program at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1965. He was hooked. Over the years, he has been involved in projects related to integrating business and technology. He has learned that no matter how much technology you apply, you must solve real business problems to succeed. Steve is widely published and recognized in industry. He has authored or coauthored 7 books, over 800 articles and has made over 300 presentations to business and association audiences. Steve is a member of the faculty of the Saint Louis University Graduate School of Business, The University of Industrial Distribution, and the Manufacturers’ Representatives Education Research Foundation Certification Program at Arizona State University. In 1976, Steve started his own business, The User Group, Inc. The name reflected his belief that the end user was the most important element in a computer system. In addition to starting the Independent Computer Consultants Association, Steve was a founding member of the EDI Coalition of Associations and he is responsible for the creation of the Distribution Solutions Council.

    Barry is a seasoned technology executive with 21 years of experience in technology sales and operations. Barry spent significant time at Mercury Interactive, Network Associates (now McAfee), Trusted Information Systems, and Apple Computer. He joined Likewise Software from Mercury Interactive, where Barry led the Application Management business unit for the Americas. Under Barry’s leadership, this business grew from negligible revenue to over $75 million in annual bookings. Prior to Mercury, Barry served as a vice president and sales director at Network Associates (now McAfee), where he turned around several underperforming teams. Barry started his technology career at Apple Computer where he spent just under nine years.     Tom Kemp is President and Chief Executive Officer at Centrify, where he is driving the strategic direction of the company. Centrify is a security software vendor that delivers auditing, access control and identity management solutions that help you centrally secure your cross-platform systems (e.g. Linux, UNIX, Mac, VMware, etc.) and applications (e.g. SAP, Apache, etc.) using Microsoft Active Directory. Previously Kemp was Entrepreneur in Residence at Mayfield, a leading venture capital firm. Kemp was a co-founder of NetIQ and in his last position there served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Development. Other positions held by Kemp in his nearly eight-year tenure at NetIQ included Senior Vice President and General Manager of its Performance and Availability Management business unit; Senior Vice President of Products; and Vice President of Marketing. Prior to NetIQ Kemp held various management, technical and marketing roles at Compuware Corporation, EcoSystems Software, and Oracle Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and in history from the University of Michigan.
