At that time John was the lead vocalist with the Chris Perez Band and the band's bi-lingual debut album, Resurrection, released in 1999, won a Grammy award in 2000, in the category of Alternative Latin Rock. The ballad "Best I Can" was dedicated to Chris's late wife, Selena Quintanilla-Perez, who was tragically murdered in 1995 at the peak of her career. Today, John is back at it with a band that is better than ever. John has become a seasoned vocalist and performer, playing classic rock like it's never been played before.
