Today’s Topic: Lord, don’t allow my good works to be evil spoken of.

Discussion:  Have you ever had good intentions towards someone, only to have it backfire and blow up in your face and wonder what happened?  Then you become discouraged and frustrated and decide you won’t try to help anyone again.  A wise person told me never to lend monies to someone if I needed them to pay me back.  Reason, so that my good intentions don’t lead me down the path of bitterness and resentment.  This is why we need to acknowledge the Lord in all our way, and let the Holy Spirit guide and direct our paths, so that we don’t allow our good works, with good intentions to be evil spoken of.

Scripture Text: (Matthew 5:16)  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
