Today’s Topic: How To Overcome Prejudice and Discrimination
Discussion:To overcome anything requires that you first understand what it is and how it relates to you personally. Many people claim that they are neither prejudice or that they don’t discriminate, but when we take a closer look at how we treat people in our communities, or next door neighbor how is of a different race or culture, and the slang terms we use to define who they are; it’s full of prejudice, malice and borders on hate and contempt. We have taught our children these same concepts, and it’s shameful behavior to mistreat, to make comments that are derogatory, spiteful and offensive based on the fact that someone is different than you whether it’s because of their age, gender, the color of their skin, their physical appearance, or social and economic status or religious preference. We are all part of the human race called mankind.
Scripture: (Romans 12:9) Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. (12:10) Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
