Sub Topic: Absolution “Free from guilt and shame.”

Discussion: Whom the son sets free, is free indeed. John 8:36 One of the hardest lessons in life is learning to forgive others, including your own self.  Guilt and regret is like a ball chain that holds people down and prevents them from living a full and productive life, because they are still blaming themselves and others for something that occurred in their past.  Absolution sets you free from guilt and shame, you can accept the fact that God has forgiven you and released you from the bondage that held your prisoner.

Scripture Text: (Romans 6:22)  But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

(6:23)  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
