Q: WHAT DOES IT MEAN , "YOU MAY ASK GOD FOR ANYTHING IN HIS NAME, AND HE WILL DO IT" (John 14:14)? A: If you ask for something in God's name, it must be according to His character and His will. By reading His word you will know His character and His will. • God will not grant requests that are against His nature. •If you ask with wrong motives that will be the reason why you do not receive (James 4:3) • But if what you ask for is according to God's character and will, then it will be given to you. • Seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well (Matthew 6:33).
