The Lamplighter Movement and REPAIR

Marjorie McKinnon is the founder of The Lamplighter Movement, an international movement for recovery from incest and childhood sexual abuse that currently has 87 chapters in 14 countries. She is a prolific writer, including her story titled, Let Me Hurt You and Don’t Cry Out, and has published five books on recovery.  A sixth will be released in May of 2012. She was on the Board of Directors for several years for the non-profit organization, Let Go, Let Peace Come In and is on the Advisory Board for Dream Catchers for Abused Children. She is spearheading a Blue Ribbon Campaign in the Verde Valley of Northern Arizona. April is the month of Child Abuse Prevention and blue is their unofficial color. It is her goal to get as many people as possible to wear a blue ribbon during the month of April. Marjorie is being honored at a luncheon on May 11th at the Ninth Annual Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards. This is sponsored by the Sedona/Verde Valley Chapter of NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners)
