China 1995- Hillary Clinton: Women's Rights

  Broadcast in Women

Call in to speak with the host

BettyJean will not broadcast a live show tonight, Instead I am boycotting President's Day asking "Where are the Women?

To achieve a truly representative government of "We the People", would surely include the majority of its people- We the women of this United States of America who are still fighting for our Equal Rights.

Four years ago the women who would be our first female president was being trashed by the media and her own party and tonight - I just can't get excited about a race comprised of a  bunch of men  carrying on over  birth control pill and making jokes about aspirins between the knees.

What the hell right do an all male media panel have to banter incessantly around and snicker jokingly about this issue in their discussions? Is this fodder for their amusement? Perhaps we are all are entitled and should open a dialog regarding keeping  religion and politics distinct and apart but  it can and should be done with respect for women and with total and equal representation by women themselves.

I therefore am preparing a very special President's Day Show - I am going to try to air a speech by Hillary Clinton  who can explain it better than anyone. This is her Speech in Beijing China 1995.
