Jackie Jones and PACE: Jacquelyn K Jones is Director of the Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment (PACE) SBA Women’s Business Center.  The Women’s Business Center is a key program of PACE’s Business Development Center which is the midst of its 16th year providing financial and educational assistance to local small businesses.  Jackie joined PACE in October 2004 and she has been at the forefront of serving low income entrepreneurs in Los Angeles ever since, providing innovative business training, one-on-one business consulting, and access to capital.  Her specialties include business strategic planning, market research and marketing.  Jackie is also a strong advocate of collaborative partnerships and goes out of her way to forge working relationships among organizations in the communities where she works.

At PACE, Jackie oversees the administration of the SBA Women’s Business Center and the Los Angeles Business Assistance Program (LABAP) funded by the Community Development Department of the City of Los Angeles.  Jackie also developed the curriculum for PACE Business Development Center’s Entrepreneurial Training Program which provides prospective entrepreneurs with the educational tools necessary for business success.  This program is offered at PACE in Spanish, English and the Korean languages and every year more than 250 entrepreneurs graduate from the program.  In addition, Jackie created and manages a volunteer consultant program that recruits talented business professionals who desire to contribute to community development by using their skills to help advance small businesses. In 2008 alone, almost forty volunteers assisted over 126 businesses under this program.
