It doesn't matter what you do, so long as you do it as a freelancer! The shows will contain discussions aimed at the self employed with topics that are specific to the needs of the freelancer. From helpful tax information, to health insurance, to learning about organizations around the country for the freelancer or any other topics requested by listeners. I am not only your host, I am self employed. Thank you for stopping by, and please let me know if you have any suggestions for future shows! - Colleen Rice Nelson

Hi and thanks for listening today! We had a great show with Chas Rampanthal from LegalZoom.com talking about what they offer in the way of do-it-yourself legal forms. We touched on what various services LegalZoom.com provides for freelancers, self employed, entrepreneurs and small business owners. From individual template agreements to service packages - all at incredibly low prices! We also discussed intellectual property and what to consider when negotiating with clients about the ownership of the services and products created. And also touched on how to evaluate agreements based on risk assessments. We also took a call from David - about the OJ verdict! That was a nice sidebar! Thanks for calling in David! We took a question from the Live Chat room from KayteeWaytee about how LegalZoom.com can offer services at such a low rate.
If you missed the show - listen to the podcast anytime!
BTW - I am in no way affiliated with LegalZoom.com or its employees. I am a freelancer / small business owner just like you and wanted to ask questions before I even used the services. So the opinions from Chas Rampanthal are that opinions and advices, not legal advice. I just wanted to be clear about that... If you want to keep up to date with events and resources around the nation and in Los Angeles concerning freelancers and small business owners, then sign up to receive my eventblog news at www.freelancerforum.net or sign up using the RSS feed. If you have any ideas for future guests, please let me know! Don't forget to write up a comment (be kind please) if you have listened to a show here. I am doing this for you (and me) so feedback is greatly appreciated, and fab reviews are even better!
Thanks for stopping by! Upcoming guests will include Freshbooks, LA City Business Tax Rep, Blankspaces founder Jerome Change and more!
Thanks again to Chas Rampanthal for a great show today! And to the listeners whether today or tomorrow! You can also listen to Chas's own radio show Legally Bound on KTLK 1150 in Los Angeles on Sunday Mornings! (He should think about using BlogTalkRadio.com - don't ya think? :)
Go check them out!
