Hi and thanks for listening today! We had a great show with Chas Rampanthal from LegalZoom.com talking about what they offer in the way of do-it-yourself legal forms. We touched on what various services LegalZoom.com provides for freelancers, self employed, entrepreneurs and small business owners. From individual template agreements to service packages - all at incredibly low prices! We also discussed intellectual property and what to consider when negotiating with clients about the ownership of the services and products created. And also touched on how to evaluate agreements based on risk assessments. We also took a call from David - about the OJ verdict! That was a nice sidebar! Thanks for calling in David! We took a question from the Live Chat room from KayteeWaytee about how LegalZoom.com can offer services at such a low rate.
If you missed the show - listen to the podcast anytime!
BTW - I am in no way affiliated with LegalZoom.com or its employees. I am a freelancer / small business owner just like you and wanted to ask questions before I even used the services. So the opinions from Chas Rampanthal are that opinions and advices, not legal advice. I just wanted to be clear about that... If you want to keep up to date with events and resources around the nation and in Los Angeles concerning freelancers and small business owners, then sign up to receive my eventblog news at www.freelancerforum.net or sign up using the RSS feed. I am doing this for you (and me) so feedback is greatly appreciated, and fab reviews are even better!
Thanks for stopping by! Upcoming guests will include Freshbooks, LA City Business Tax Rep, Blankspaces founder Jerome Change and more!
Thanks again to Chas Rampanthal for a great show today! And to the listeners whether today or tomorrow! You can also listen to Chas's own radio show Legally Bound on KTLK 1150 in Los Angeles on Sunday Mornings! (He should think about using BlogTalkRadio.com - don't ya think? :)

Just a note to say thank you for listening today! Whew – what a show! The show went great even with technical difficulties! My heart was pounding so loud I thought you could here it in the mic!
What happened? Well the show went to start, and the countdown began, and no guest on my phone lines! I thought to myself – she will call in – just start talking – then I realized my intro music did not play automatically like it was supposed to. So I just started talking, and introduced the show and talked about the guest. My heart was pounding!! There I was chatty Kathy trying to fill time, hoping Michelle would call in! So I try to click on the Live Chat, to get that going to talk to some listeners, and it wouldn’t connect! All this time I am frantically clicking away on the browser windows to refresh to see if I can start the Live Chat, and to see if Michelle was on the phone line – nothing was working and I was wondering if I was even on the air!
Heart still pounding, I decided to check my personal email account on air….Found an email response for a future guest for the show (read that) and then there it was Michelle Goodman emailing me, trying to tell me that she is on the line! But what line – my switchboard was not registering the call and to me, there was no one! So I clicked refresh yet one last time! Boom there she was! Thank God! And off we went to do the show. That was the longest 10 minutes ever!!!!
The show went great! Lots of information for freelancers, and tips on what to do during a recession. I never got the Live Chat going – oh well! I guess this is the nature of the beast with internet radio. Next time someone should send me a valium before something like that happens. Even though I was prepared to talk about anything and everything – it does not prepare you for your heart to pound out of your chest! I love doing this show, and am working on more great guests to have on in the future. And I do honestly try to do a professional show everytime.
So if you listen to this podcast, cut me a little slack, and laugh with me (not at me please), as you now know what was going on in the first 10 minutes!
