"Shazad is an Asian gentleman, living in Bradford, born bread and raised in the place he calls home. After graduating as a Software Engineering Program Analyst in Computer Science, he put his career on hold in November 2001, as he took on the caring responsibility for his various family members with varying degrees of illness.

Soon after graduating in 2000, and starting his career, he started to take on the caring role and responsibility for two of his mentally ill brothers, Talib and Nazam, suffering from Schizophrenia. He has another sister Zahida whom also is a Schizophrenic sufferer.  His late father suffered from Dementia and he took on this responsibility in September 2002, up unit his departing in June 2009.

Shazad first came up against the authorities in December 2002 whilst attempting to bring his domestic circumstances under control. He has subsequently suffered a great deal of discrimination, bullying, intimidation and victimisation at the hands of the local authority City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (CBMDC) and continues to do so as he struggles with his caring role and responsibility.

Listen to all that has happened to this young man as he fights the state for basic rights which have been denied to him and his surviving vulnerable family members, mother Fateh suffering from dementia and brother Talib suffering from mental health issues."
